A network need not be restricted to one location, you can share files with colleagues in other parts of the country or anywhere in the world. If you travel for business and need access to your network when you are away, then this can also be set-up.

Broadband internet access is now available to most of the UK you may wish to upgrade your internet connection so as to benefit from the much higher connection speed. This enables you to download files much more quickly and to take advantage of many of the new internet services which rely on high speed connections.
Getting a Broadband connection opens up all sorts of new opportunities, but it can also make your computer or network more prone to unauthorised access or hacking. It’s possible to protect your network from unauthorised access by installing a Firewall, either hardware or software.
If you are experiencing difficulty with an Apple Macintosh computer or a network of Macs or a mixed network of Macs and PCs then we can probably help. Over time all sorts of things can go wrong with any computer and unless you are dealing with these problems regularly, it can be difficult to know just what to do. You will want to safeguard your valuable data and we will do our best to make sure it is safe. This is not always possible, for instance if you suffer a serious hard disk error, so please make sure you keep a back-up copy of your work.
As Apple computers have developed and become faster and more powerful it has not been possible for some older models, many of which are still giving excellent service, to run modern operating systems (OS). If you are working with an old machine we can still offer support, right back to version 6.7 and so it should be possible to get it working again.

If you are still running a Mac on OS 9 and are thinking of upgrading to Apple’s latest and best OS so far, you may want some advice or help with the actual process. It can be nerve wracking; will I lose all my work? can I still use my printer/scanner etc. We can give you advice or actually carry out the upgrade for you - all you need to provide is the installation CD, and we will do the rest.
Do you actually know what equipment and software you have? In many firms extra computers, software etc have been added over time and nobody is really sure just what equipment is installed, what software is legal or whether they are protected from viruses or hackers.
